Turkish Eggs

Turkish poached eggs in yoghurt base

Ingredients

  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 cup greek yoghurt
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • 3 poached eggs
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • (Optional) 1/2 tsp chili flakes

Method

  1. Mix garlic, salt and yoghurt in a bowl
  2. Make an indent for the poached eggs
  3. In a small saucepan, melt the butter
  4. When the butter begins to brown add the chili flakes if using
  5. Add 1 tbsp of olive oil
  6. Pour the butter mix over the eggs and yoghurt
  7. Sprinkle a bit of salt and drizzle the rest of the olive oil over the dish
  8. Enjoy!
