Watermelon Tuna Chunks

Like tuna... but watermelon

Ingredients

Marinade

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 sheet of nori
  • Half of a 5lb (~2.2kg) watermelon (sliced into steaks)

Method

  1. Combined all marinade ingredients into a bowl
  2. Slice up the watermelon into tuna steak sized chunks
  3. Chop up the nori
  4. Add all ingredients together and marinade for 1 hour
  5. Preheat oven to 180°C
  6. Add watermelon chunks for 40-45 minutes
  7. Remove from oven, sear chunks briefly on pan
  8. Enjoy!
